(More customer reviews)A previous reviewer left a comment that the hoop is on the wrong side. There is a valid reason for this. Unlike her PE-150, this machine is also a sewing machine. In order for this machine to function as a sewing machine, the embroidery arm has to be removable (so it is on the left side). If it was on the other side, it would be in the way for sewing.
The other major advantage of the PE-400D over the 150 (besides being able to sew), is that it is able to read and use the Disney Brother cards. These cards can only be used by Disney Brother machines.

New Rev2 Revolation 2 Chocolate Tempering Machine/melter Rev2 Lid Included. Review

(More customer reviews)Okay so this machine costs a lot of money. If you don't need a lot of tempered chocolate or coating you may just want to buy dipping chocolate. However if you are seriously into making truffles or chocolate coated anything a machine is a must. It was hard to convince myself to spend the money but I am glad I did. My friends are even happier about it than me.
When you get it out of the package it seems very light and cheaply made but it isn't and it works terrific!. The instructions are accurate but hard to figure out. So you take your chocolate and separate it into two piles. Have 1/3 of it in one pile (at least 4oz) and the other 2/3s in another. Chop both piles up. Plug in your machine, punch the icon button for the type chocolate you are going to use, milk, dark, or white. The bowl starts to turn. Put the 2/3 pile in BEHIND the baffle. It will slowly melt and ooze under the to the front side of the baffle. If this machine has a flaw it is that the chocolate pieces tend to ride up and out of the bowl where it contacts the baffle. There is a small stop on top of the baffle to prevent this from happening but it isn't completely effective. The chocolate will melt then a light will come on to tell you to put in the "seed". That is your 1/3 pile. Put it in BEHIND the baffle and punch the button. That too will melt but the machine isn't heating anymore at that point. The temp drops and the seed melts. Then again a light will come on to tell you to take out the remaining seed. Scoop out the unmelted seed from behind the baffle and set it aside for your next batch or toss it, eat it...whatever you want to do with it. It is your chocolate. Push that button the machine will heat up again and a buzzer goes off 3 times and a light comes on that tells you your chocolate is ready to use.
That said my machines dark chocolate temp was a little low for me when the chocolate was tempered but it still worked fine. I actually jacked it up two degrees on subsequent batches. It has a dull gloss to it like See's candy. It doesn't have that ultra shiny gloss like a paraffin chocolate gives you but it is tempered and doesn't melt at the first touch. It coats very well and makes you feel like a pro.
I have not tried chocolate chips in it but I imagine it would work just fine. I have done both milk and dark chocolate but have not tried white. It worked terrific on both the milk and dark however.
I actually bought this machine after talking to two pro chocolatiers. They convinced me that to move to the next level I needed it and they were right. Tempering by hand is possible, I have done it many times, but it is iffy and hard to maintain the temperature. This machine takes all of that iffiness away and lets you concentrate on making professional looking products.
I am cheap by nature so this was a tough sell for me but I am completely pleased with it. The reason for the four stars instead of 5 is that the directions suck and the chocolate likes to ride out of the bowl if you aren't watching it during the melting process. Be close by with a spatula and you will be fine.

(More customer reviews)I searched on Amazon for Sewing Tables - this was at the top of the list. Just be aware that what you are buying are the PLANS to build this table yourself. There aren't a lot of details of the products, so I didn't want someone making the mistake of thinking they had stumbled on a great deal - then be disappointed. I'm sure that these are probably excellent woodworking plans and the finished product might be fantastic. I'm just glad that I dug deeper before I bought.

The only drawback was the major shrinkage (approximately 10 inches off the long length) after a gentle wash in cold cycle and a gentle dry. I would definitely recommend ordering the larger size! (More customer reviews)I refused to pay $300.00 for a standmixer, and am glad to have found this one ! The glass bowls are very roomy and the height of the mixer allows ample room to work. The assortment of beaters should allow everyone to mix away ! The 350 watts of power helped blend a peanut butter cookie which can become thick. I found clean up quite easy with the glass bowls and the shape of the beaters, not alot of crevices for sticking.
The only negative is I was expecting a metal cast mixer. This one has alot of plastic/pvc to it. This makes me nervous as far as durability over years of use, as mentioned in the other reviews I was looking for one just like my Mom had. So far it has performed as I expected.

Putting the frame together does take about 6 to 8 hours. depending on your skills with tools, I recommend you watch the video Completely before starting your assembly. All the Hardware parts are very clearly labeled. The only Problem i had was the Foot peddle Assembly on the carriage. But My Husband took One look at it and simply changed the direction that the bolts and nuts were installed. and Now it is Just fine. If you are on the fence about getting this frame. (More customer reviews)Plan to spend all day assembling. Instructions are fairly easy to use, cabinet is easy to assemble but it's easier with 2 people. It helps to watch the videos on the website before you assemble the lift. Customer service is excellent. Cabinet is heavy, sturdy and just the right size. Some of the veneer came off because they put tape on the decorative part so be careful removing tape. You will need to order the custom insert when you order the cabinet...it is 79.99 extra. Overall, I think it is a great cabinet...a bit pricey, but it seems like it will hold up for a long time.

(More customer reviews)1st of all: do NOT believe the instruction booklet when it says not to wash out the unit before use! (They claim it comes ready for use from the factory.) It gave a really "off" flavor to the water till I rinsed out the unit thoroughly with baking soda dissolved in water. DO believe the people who say it takes a long time for water to get cold--it really does, especially the first time you use it. That said, we really like this unit now. It fits nicely on the counter, is easy to use, and provides our family of two with enough cold water.

Mister Tenderizer Meat Tenderizer Review

(More customer reviews)Mister tenderizer is, theoretically at least, intended to successfully perforate meat and so break up the musculature which often makes meat with a low fat content tough and difficult to chew. Having received the Mr. Tenderizer I found it to be well constructed and easy to assemble. However, two problems immediately presented: 1) there is no way to keep the handle on the spindle which turns the counter-rotating perforating gismos other than by the pressure of one's own hand, and 2) besides the O rings slipping, the O rings which turn the countering-rotating gismos are insufficient to maintain sufficient tension to truly effect the tenderizing process. In other words, the pork slices/cutlets which I hoped would resemble minute steaks from the grocer's meat counter in terms of appearance and tenderization looked and were more like a teenager's inconveniently pock-marked face -- not enough to hinder dating but just enough to cause embarassment. When these two problems are remedied, perhaps with a screw-in device and well tensioned counter-rotating cogs, Mister Tenderizer will better accomplish its intended purpose. As an after-thought, the accompanying black trays are not only cheaply made but also there is no way for them to seat securely in the device.

Grace Sturdy-Lite Machine Quilting System Review

(More customer reviews)I have this frame. I bought one that came with a Juki machine. I was frustrated putting the machine base together. It did not come with all the correct bolts. I had to go to the hardware store to get the correct ones. I recommend making cloth leaders, getting bungee clamps and a stitch regulator up front to save your sanity and time in long run. The stitch regulator for this frame and my machine did not seem to work. The roller ball bearing wheels were not big enough to prevent the regulator roller from rubbing on the machine frame so I also had to go to the hardware store and replace all 4 wheels. After all that I was able to finally quilt.

The DVD lessons on how screen printing works make this item a worthwhile investment. Having used and almost considered the Yudu, I decided to try this product after seeing their instructional approach.
You will need a few more things to get started. However, these are not hard to get. The product overall does what it promises very well. I was able to make great one color prints and the most time consuming task was the drying [Curing the water based ink].
The delivery was fast, the components were easy to assemble, and the instruction was exceptional.
Additional things you will need:
A rig to position the exposure light 18" from the frame [I made mine, but can purchase theirs]
A 16" x 18" transparent glass [The Home Depot has affordable pieces]
A Yellow light-bulb [The Home Depot has an affordable green bug light that worked for me]
A hot air gun [The Home Depot had few, buy yours here at Amazon]
A water hose [The first time I used my bathtub it worked great but you should use a hose for more control]
A printer [Nothing fancy but do print as dark as it is possible]
Shirts, [Other appropriate surfaces]
I recommend this product as a valuable instructional tool for the beginner screen printing enthusiast.

(More customer reviews)We have been using cloth napkins for many years, so I have tried dozens of different napkins. Some are attractive, but for looks only. These are excellent. Large, square, soft, absorbent, keep their shape after washing, seem to be fairly stain resistant, easy to fold into formal arrangements, attractive hemstitch, just as nice for everyday use. At under $20, they are a very good bargain for high quality. I am tempted to stock up on them in case i can't find them in the future.

When casting, this machine creates a vacuum at one end of the flask, which pulls the air and gases from the mold so that the molten metal flows quickly to every opening. Larger flasks can be cast with vacuum casting than with the centrifugal machine (although it is not possible to specify exact sizes, as the amount of metal to be cast, the shape of the cavity, etc., will all affect the size). This machine is capable of creating a negative mercury pressure equal to 27"-29" at sea level. The vacuum table measures 10-1/2" x 10-1/2" and rests on joggle springs. Unit comes complete as shown. They are beautiful quality, generously cut, and were the perfect accent to blend the elegance of the occasion with the theme of the evening--- a barbecue buffet. And now that the dinner is past, we will have the pleasure of using the napkins over and over, as decorations or actual picnic napkins, which I consider more economical and planet-friendly than less costly, disposable items. I'm very thankful to have found these when I needed them!
