(More customer reviews)Searched & read & tried to see pictures of construction of the refills to make sure these "originals" would work in our "original" buttoneer. They don't, but we had no way of knowing that the whole insertion mechanism of the Buttoneer had changed so much and was still being called "original." I'm sure there is nothing wrong with the refills, but we can';t use them in our 30+ year old Buttoneer.

(More customer reviews)I owned the original Buttoneer years ago and thought this was the same thing. It is not! It is a pure waste of money. The original had single studs on a strip that fed into the machine and it was very easy to use and very sturdy. This new one you must put the double studs in one at a time, very time consuming. And the worst part is that they are so flimsey they will not hold the button on if there is any pull at all. WOW, am I sorry I bought it!!
