They worked great and cut through the knit fabric with no problem at all and they weren't too heavy in my hand, which was a big plus. They were very comfortable to use once I got the hang of the odd shape. I would recommend these scissors if you do reverse appliques, for sure.

(More customer reviews)After using my bathroom tweezers to yank jammed thread from my machine, I almost did a jig when these arrived. When you pick them up, you notice the difference immediately. They have a wonderful weight to them. Just right for digging under my throat plate.
They are also super sharp, which is useful when I'm trying to deconstruct one of my many sewing mistakes. I've used them on a thin fabric with fine thread and the performed beautifully. Seriously, these are very sharp so be careful. The come with a plastic sleeve for storage.

They operate smoothly and are well balanced. Further, with the dearth of scissor-sharpening options available these days, it is nice to know that Gingher will sharpen their scissors when that operation is necessary. I'm replacing all my scissors with Ginghers!

Gingher G-6DC Double Curved Scissors, 6-Inch Review

(More customer reviews)I've owned several pair of Gingher sewing scissors. They have always been a bit fragile - drop them and they may never work right again, like the 5" craft scissors I had to replace a few years ago. Of course, that can be said for any scissor, probably.I haven't dropped these (yet!) but just the look of them is disappointing. Oh, they're functional, but they are little, if any, better than the el cheapo pair of double curve embroidery scissors I already have. The Ginghers I've had before always looked and felt well-made and cut smooth as butter. These Ginghers aren't finished well, and do not have the expensive look and feel that I have always expected from Gingher. After I bought the cheaper pair a few years ago, I always regretted that I hadn't gone for the Ginghers. Now I find that it really didn't make much difference anyway. Try Havel instead, if they have the style of scissor you want (they had nothing comparable to these.)

(More customer reviews)I've done all forms of needle crafts all my life but have never owned applique scissors until these. Now I wish I'd discovered them years ago. Trimming goes much quicker and there's no worry of "accidentally" cutting into a design or background if used properly, letting the large blade be your shield and guide, making them useful for any close trimming, not just applique.
All that's said about them in the description and reviews is true.
