(More customer reviews)While the concept is wonderful - who wouldn't love a no baste hand quilting frame - the reality is that this frame is extremely cumbersome. I spent days sanding and staining the pieces. But that was nothing compared to assembling it and moving it from the garage into the house by myself. It is stunningly time consuming to tighten the little screws and all the bolts and knobs, load the backing, batting and quilt top correctly and evenly and it takes up a solid one third of my living room. However, if you make it through all that, it's quite nice for the actual quilting. I'm not sure I'd recommend it to anyone - especially if you live alone and have to manhandle this by yourself ... and I'm not one to back down from a challenge.

The EZ3 is a three-rail, no baste quilting system that has rail extensions for crib (32"), crib (64") and Queen (94") size, all included with purchase.Its streamlined design gives you the most quilting frame in the least amount of space. when in use, the EZ3 is only 23" front to back. The 12" work area is tiltable to four different angles, ranging from horizontal to 45 degrees. Because of its unique "Z" design, your leg space is always preserved, regardless of the angle. Smooth Rolling Ratchet Wheels:Excellent front-to-back tension is achieved with three 30-tooth ratchet wheels. The stops have a double-lock design to eliminate the chance of the tension slipping. Fabri-Fast:The new Fabri-Fast feature alone makes the EZ3 an excellent value.
