Singer Plastic Class 66 Bobbins-4/Pkg Review

(More customer reviews)A friend of mine gave me an old Singer built into a table. This thing is from the late 60's and possibly made of Detroit steel it's so heavy. The problem being that it came with only one bobbin.
I was afraid I would have to troll the internet for "vintage" bobbins to use with this thing or be doomed to use the same color bobbin thread on all my projects. Thankfully, they're still making this size bobbin.
The plastic on these is a bit thinner then on the "vintage" bobbin, but they work fine in an older machine.

The boxes have soft inserts which hold the bobbins in place. No more unwinding or spilled bobbins! For a quilter like me, these bobbin boxes are wonderful. AccuQuilt Go Geometric Die - 3.5" Square - Block B by AccuQuilt (55006-3) Review

I bought this die for use with my new AccuQuilt GO! Fabric Cutter. I'm impressed with quick and easily it cuts fabrics, as well as with the accuracy of the cuts. This die cuts fabric squares that are 3.5" inches on each side; if you quilt with 1/4" inch seams, then that means the finished square is 3" inches on each side. Almost all of my quilting is done with combinations of 3.5" squares, so this die has been a great investment for me.
The die cuts two squares per cut - if you layer the fabric with eight layers (the maximum thickness the AccuQuilt claims to be able to accommodate), that gives you 16 squares per cut. It takes about five minutes to layer the fabric and run it through the machine, so you can cut about 100 squares in half an hour time.
The only complaint I have with this die is that it is a bit wasteful of fabric - I do wish they had made it with less "empty" space on the sides, to allow for tighter cutting, but I suppose if you got creative with your fabric folding it wouldn't be as much of an issue. For myself, I never seem to have enough scraps for scrap quilts, so I'm just being "wasteful" and saving the scraps in my barren scrap basket.
Do note that you will need the GO! 5x10 Cutting Mat to use with this die, as well as the actual AccuQuilt Go fabric cutting machine. I've attached the video I created for my AccuQuilt review to show this die in action.

Oliso TG1000 Steam Iron Review

(More customer reviews)I purchased this iron in February 2010 and was thrilled with it. Starting in May, the iron started acting up. It would either not go up at all when finished or it goes up, down, up, down all by itself. I'm not disappointed in the iron as much as I am disappointed in the company. I emailed and called several times and have had no response, except for one email that says their business hours are from 9 - 1 PST but when you call all you get is an answering machine and noone ever calls you back. I am very upset by this.

Schmetz Metallica Needles - Size 80/12 Review

I inherited them and used them on an old Singer 591 (yes, they did fit with a bit of tinkering) and was able to patch a canvas cover for my trailer rig. I'd buy them again. Good quality. I'd give them five stars if I didn't have to tinker with my machine so much to use them.

I really enjoy the ease and simplicity of the Janome 7034D. It came threaded with color coordinating thread and instructions on how to rethread the machine. It was a very simple set up. Basically I was sewing right out of the box after threading! I would certainly recommend this product and Amazon to anyone!

I bought this die for use with my new AccuQuilt GO! Fabric Cutter. I'm impressed with quick and easily it cuts fabrics, as well as with the accuracy of the cuts. This die cuts fabric triangles that, when sewn together create squares that are 3.5" inches on each side; if you quilt with 1/4" inch seams, then that means the finished square is 3" inches on each side. Almost all of my quilting is done with combinations of 3.5" squares, so this die has been a great investment for me.
The die cuts four traingles (i.e., two completed squares) per cut - if you layer the fabric with eight layers (the maximum thickness the AccuQuilt claims to be able to accommodate), that gives you 16 squares per cut. 10 Spool Embroidery Thread Stand Review

(More customer reviews)Bought the wrong item. This thread stand is for the real large spools of thread, not the small (1100) threads for embroidering on my home embroidery machine. The thread stand is much larger than I anticipated. I suppose it would work but it's too big for my use. It's gray in color..I know, a bit picky but I prefer the white thread holders that are smaller and fit behind the machine. Will be returning it.
