(More customer reviews)This item was not well engineered. The hinges need to be offset otherwise it does not work as directed. The table also arrived with broken parts and not enough screws and wood glue to build it. The item also had to be shipped twice as it did not get delivered the first time. We were unable to determine whether the deliver issue was the company's or FedEx's. Disappointing considering we have been pleased with all other purchases through Amazon.

(More customer reviews)Plan to spend all day assembling. Instructions are fairly easy to use, cabinet is easy to assemble but it's easier with 2 people. It helps to watch the videos on the website before you assemble the lift. Customer service is excellent. Cabinet is heavy, sturdy and just the right size. Some of the veneer came off because they put tape on the decorative part so be careful removing tape. You will need to order the custom insert when you order the cabinet...it is 79.99 extra. Overall, I think it is a great cabinet...a bit pricey, but it seems like it will hold up for a long time.

After weeks of not getting a tracking number I e mailed the merchant (Ken's sewing Center) asking for one and that is when he told me the orders weren't being shipped on time. He said that it would be mailed out between Dec.31 and Jan. 4. I said that was fine. After not hearing from him I assumed it had been shipped out already and wanted a tracking number. That is when he told me he thinks it's being mailed out today (Jan.26) but, without giving me a tracking number...again. Why was I not notified Jan. 4 when the order wasn't shipped out as promised? Really good question, right? I canceled the order and I'm now disputing the credit card charges. BUYER BEWARE. This merchant is shady. Run don't walk.

(More customer reviews)I bought this cabinet about 5 years ago. I have really enjoyed using it and it is still like new. I have more than one sewing machine, so I decided to buy another. It is a great cabinet for the money. It takes a 2-3 hours to assemble. The instructions are fairly clear. I made one mistake assembling it, by installing the bottom shelf with the unfinished edge "showing". When the cabinet is closed, you cannot see that, so I'm leaving as is, rather than disassembling it. All the parts required, were included. The box was clearly marked "fragile, do not drop", so all components were in good condition.

(More customer reviews)I sew home decor projects from time to time, and this desk works well for me. It does not have a lot of storage, but it stores my sewing machine, a few sewing books and 1 sewing basket and a few other notions. The rest of my scraps of fabric, batting, etc I store in my closet. I like that part of the top folds down, so that the desk becomes smaller allowing me to tuck it into the corner of the bedroom when not in use. When I want to use it, it has wheels on the bottom that make it easy to move. The surface space I find to be sufficient. The surface is heat resistant, but is not meant to be used as a cutting surface. The desk looks nicer than I thought it would, and I even really like the hardware. Although I should mention that I think the wood is slightly darker in person than in the picture.
Lastly, I found this desk at Walmart online for $89 (+S&H + Tax), or in the store for $99 (+Tax). I went to Walmart and bought this in person for considerably less than you can buy this on Amazon or Target.
