Yamata (or Feiyue) is one of the larger generic sewing machine manufacturers in mainland China. There are better makers and brands, there are worse, but it really matters the least in a lot of respects with a basic, single-needle lockstitch machine like this. There are a *lot* of generic industrial machines like this made in Japan, Taiwan, Korea, and mainland China.
This head is a knock-off of one of Juki's later machines. Nothing unusual in that, either. You can still get a Japanese-made Juki version that is better quality for about $150-200 more if you shop around, but the Yamata is certainly OK for the money. The source designs for most industrial knock-offs are typically from Juki, Pfaff, Adler, Merrow, older Singer, US Blindstitch, Union Special, Brother, and a handful of others for specialized designs.
I STRONGLY recommend getting a servo motor if you are not already accustomed to a clutch motor. The description doesn't say which is provided, but it is rare that to provide a servo motor standard. The servo motor will cost more, but will use less electricity, be far more controllable, and is quiet - silent, in fact, when you're not actually stitching. You can buy these as aftermarket bolt-ons, and they typically fit the clutch motor's bolt holes (meaning you won't have to re-work the stand to make it fit).
One correction - when I wrote this, the shipping weight was listed as 10 pounds. I don't know the exact weight of Yamata's head, but I can assure you that it weighs considerably more than 10 pounds and is probably closer to 70! The table and motor are also quite heavy. In our last move, the two movers carrying this machine up the stairs had quite a handful!
Finally, the description makes no mention of whether this is shipped set up and sewn off (i.e., adjusted), or boxed. Contact the seller to find out. If you don't know how to set up a new machine, you'll want it shipped set up and sewn off on a pallet.
