(More customer reviews)Save your money. We bought this machine from Target just to handle a few repairs and a hem here and there. Simple enough, eh? NOT. First off, this machine works off of 4 AA batteries or DC current; therefore, the piddly motor doesn't have enough power to drive the needle through anything but the lightest fabric. Next, upon assembly the foot petal did not work, thus the only way we could use the machine is by switching the power on or off. We tried it out for about 10 minutes and agreed that this machine, at any price, is a loser. Think about paying $20 more for the Brother LS2125I.

(More customer reviews)I can only sew with a basic ability. I needed a machine to save time on basic repairs and very simple projects that took too long to sew by hand. This machine was very easy to learn and use. I am not overwhelmed with options that I dont know how to use anyway. I have only run into a few problem (all caused by me) and I was able to figure out what I had done wrong easily. It is a great machine for learning or for someone who only needs to sews on occasion.

The LS2125 is a 25 Stitch Function Free Arm Sewing Machine. This machine is compact and lightweight with a built-in handle for portability. The LS2125 features an easy to use automatic 4-step buttonholer.The built-in stitches include straight, zig-zag, elastic and blind hem stitches. The stitch length and width adjustments are auto-set for you. The presser feet feature Brother's easy change snap on design. (More customer reviews)My wife needed a simple basic sewing machine to repair and make adjustments to our clothes. We decided on this model based on the low price and the Singer name. As we understand there are more Singer machines in service than all other brands together.
We found the DVD that came with the machine very helpful and between that and the owner's manual the setup was easy. Since then she is using it from time to time and, as it fulfills all our needs at an affordable price, we must give it a high rating.
We would have hated to pay more for a sewing machine with more features that we were not going to use. This is a good reliable machine that fulfills our need for simplicity and ease of operation.

(More customer reviews)I bought a Brother digital sewing/embroidery machine in February that was a total DUD...I mean it didn't survive making one garment before it went Kaput and I'm still trying to get it fixed!
I bought this "little" machine as a "back up" and it is GREAT!!!!!!!!!!!!
I had to buy a bottle of sewing machine oil to oil it weekly (as the manual advised) otherwise it came fully equipped and it just purrs right along and does a great job of sewing on a variety of fabrics. I'm VERY HAPPY and it was 1/6 the price of Brother digital dud.

Lightweight and user-friendly, the sewing machine covers all the basics with ten built-in stitches with multiple stitch functions, including elastic, hem, straight, satin, and zigzag stitching. The sewing machine further endears itself with its quick bobbin wind, automatic four-step buttonholer, and tension adjustment dial. To hem pants or alter sleeve lengths, the sewing machine converts from a flatbed surface to a free-arm design.
The 110-volt sewing machine uses an electrical foot pedal to control operation and stitching speed. With a flip of a lever, the machine switches into reverse stitching mode. The sewing machine comes with stitch length, stitch width, needle positions, presser foot pressure, and presser foot height features preset to allow the user to start sewing quicker. Presser feet snap on for quick replacement. With its light bulb, the sewing machine insures visibility while stitching. A host of accessories accompany the sewing machine, including the power cord, foot pedal, screwdriver, needle pack, bobbins, extra spool pin, twin needle, darning plate, and instructional manual in English and Spanish.
